Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience in hands-on HR, employee handbook creation, compliance management, and benefits administration, while playing a key role in onboarding and benefit orientation for new hires
Develop, update, and manage the employee handbook to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Lead the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation and ensuring a smooth transition into the company
Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and other company-provided benefits
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, staying up to date with any changes that may impact the organization
Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, resolving employee concerns and issues in a professional and timely manner
Manage employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed
Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development
Maintain and update HR records, including employee files, leave management, and HR reporting
Continuously evaluate and improve HR policies and processes to enhance employee experience and engagement

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Manager to support a client of ours in the Westfield NJ area. This is a standalone HR role, offering a unique opportunity to take ownership of all human resource functions in a growing company. The ideal candidate will have experience in hands-on HR, employee handbook creation, compliance management, and benefits administration, while playing a key role in onboarding and benefit orientation for new hires.
Responsibilities
• Develop, update, and manage the employee handbook to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and other company-provided benefits.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, staying up to date with any changes that may impact the organization.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, resolving employee concerns and issues in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, ideally in a standalone position.
• Experience with employee handbook creation and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HR software (experience with ADP & implementation is a plus).
Preferred Experience
• Experience managing onboarding and benefits administration.
• HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) are a plus.
