In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals and providing payroll and benefits administration support to GE HealthCare while focusing on enterprise standards, compliance, customer experience/ satisfaction and standardization. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead Payroll & Benefits processes, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with relevant legal and GE HealthCare policy requirements
• Ensure teams are aligned and relevant skills are in place to deliver on organizational strategy
• Develop and manage the ongoing advancement of the team (local and offshore), including strong development plans
• Drive seamless performance management in the team through clear expectations, priority setting, frequent touchpoints, and feedback
• Champion training and induction processes for new team members and role changes; coordinate and implement training to effectively meet team needs
• Drive a culture of service excellence within the team; promote “Best in Class” customer service
• Leverage metrics to identify trends or problems to maintain and improve performance levels
• Be the plan and/or policy expert and be able to work with plan & policy owners on design ideas
• Manage 3rd Party Payroll and Benefits Providers to ensure seamless, compliant, and high-quality Payroll & Benefit services
• Develop broad knowledge of Payroll & Benefits processing procedures to ensure successful execution
• Measure end-customer satisfaction; develop action plan to mitigate operational risks or resolve escalated issues
• Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements within assigned processes, work closely with cross functional teams to proposing process improvements to reduce waste, manual work, align to global standards and increase productivity
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Finance functions, Total Reward, and the HR Client Delivery team, to ensure open line communications that supports an effective partnership across our HR community as well as employees and People Leaders
• Drive GE HealthCare’s high standards of ethics and compliance within the team
• Drive and enhance employee engagement
Qualifications/Requirements
• Good interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area
• All candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Payroll and Benefits or related work experience, ideally within a multinational organization
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in direct people leadership
• Significant prior professional work experience with demonstrated achievement and leadership in Payroll & Benefits and Service-oriented environment
• Travel will be required, as needed, to support the team and customers within the region
• To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing work environment across multiple stakeholder groups and countries, with comfort and efficiency
Desired Characteristics
• Demonstrated experience in making strategic decisions, and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders
• Ability to energize and lead and drive change in complex, matrix, goal-driven, team-orientated service organizations
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and coaching leadership talent and promoting an inclusive/diverse workforce
• Proficiency in HR, Payroll and Benefit systems (ex. Workday) and technologies
• Experience managing third party providers
• Solid understanding of applicable regional legislative programs/processes
• Demonstrated success managing projects and/or implementing process improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and clear-thinking skills; ability to identify trends and implement process improvements
• Comprehensive understanding of and ability to assimilate regulatory and compliance
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to present data in a clear, concise, and articulate manner
• Proven record of managing metrics, including analysis, identifying trends, and making timely decisions
• Cultural awareness & sensitivity: ability to flex style to suit differing cultural norms
• Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
• Ability to drive process improvements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
