Job Description
· Position Overview:
The HR Payroll and Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll and compliance functions within the human resources department. They ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintain compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, and handle related administrative tasks. The HR Payroll and Compliance Specialist works closely with employees, managers, and external stakeholders to address payroll inquiries and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
· Key Responsibilities:
To provide a high quality service to individuals (managers and employees) and to contribute to the long term development of the HR function ensuring a consistently high level of employee care is provided to all individuals; also provide an effective and efficient output of work to meet the demands made of the role, and to assist in all aspects of the work undertaken by the Human Resources Department.
1. Payroll Processing:
· Administer and process bi-weekly, monthly, or semi-monthly payroll for all employees.
· Verify and reconcile employee time and attendance records.
· Calculate and process salary adjustments, bonuses, and other payroll-related changes.
· Prepare and distribute pay checks, pay stubs/ salary slips, and other payroll documentation.
· Collaborate with Finance and Accounting departments to ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions.
2. Compliance Management:
· Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local labour laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
· Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and other payroll-related obligations.
· Prepare and submit required payroll reports to government agencies.
· Handle all payroll-related audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
· Develop and maintain internal payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
3. Benefits Administration:
· Collaborate with the benefits team to manage employee benefits enrolment, changes, and terminations.
· Ensure accurate deduction and reporting of benefit premiums, contributions, and other related payroll items.
· Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve issues and discrepancies.
4. Record Keeping and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
· Prepare payroll reports, including cost analysis, headcount reports, and other relevant metrics.
· Generate and distribute payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders as required.
5. Employee Support:
· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and other payroll-related matters.
· Address and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Provide guidance and support to employees on payroll-related policies and procedures.
· Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience of 3 or 4+ years in payroll processing and compliance management.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
4. Proficiency in using payroll software and systems.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
