We touch all aspects of the employment lifecycle, from Recruiting and Onboarding to Comp and Benefits to Talent Development and Payroll.
Your typical day
• Triage employeeinquiries in our HR service desk (ServiceNow)
• Resolve employee inquiriesby guiding them to documentation and self-service options
• Answer employees' ad hoc questions leveraging knowledge of athena'spolicies and practices
• Escalate tier 2 and 3 inquiries to proper teams within HR (CoEs) or partners in payroll, legal, IT, or office services
• Identify trends in employee inquiries and work with COEs to build-out knowledge base
• Process accurate and timely transactions in HR Systems (Workday, Kronos, ServiceNow, and others)
• Provide accurate and timely reports, primarily using Workday and Excel

• Data literacy: Run reports out of our HRIS (Workday) and use basic excel functionality (v-lookups, pivot tables, filtering, etc.) to make reports user friendly
• Communication: You need to balance being cordial and direct in both email and verbal communication
• Curiosity: Ask questions, do research, never stop learning
Qualifications we require
• 1 year of experience in an HR support role OR degree in Human Resources
• Customer service oriented
• Expectation management
• Excellent data entry skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Ability to research, compile, and clearly present information and data
• Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Flexibility to change with environment, industry, and business demands
Qualifications we prefer
• Bachelor's Degree (human resources or a related field preferred, but not required)
• 1-2 years' experience in an HR support role, preferably in a shared services organization
• Experience with Workday HCM, Recruiting, Reporting, and other core functional areas
• Experience using enterprise applications such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.
