Our team

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a HR Support Team Leader to join the HR Support Team within the International HR Operations team based in Birmingham city centre. This is a hybrid role, with a current requirement of working 3 days on site in the Birmingham Office.

Role and key responsibilities

The role of the HR Support Team Leader will be to drive service excellence and data accuracy within the Offboarding & Changes Hub, ensuring key deliverables are met. Having previous experience working within a HR Service Function, you will have strong experience of HR systems, policy and procedures. You will also provide direct line management to 4-5 HR Support Administrators.

You will be expected to work closely with the other hub team leaders and will need to have an excellent ability to manage relationships and expectations.

You will be responsible for a variety of HR Team Leader activities which will include and not limited to:
• Direct line management of 4-5 HR Support Administrators
• Working collaboratively with all Team Leaders within HR Support
• Become the subject matter expert in the Offboarding & Changes hub and represent the team
• Oversee and monitor the internal ticketing system, ensuring high priority tickets are actioned in a timely manner
• Delegating tasks to team members and supporting team members with prioritisation
• Managing the relationship with our D&I team ensuring we are working collaboratively
• Producing weekly reports to support the business and HR Management Team
• Ensuring all tasks are processed in a timely manner and a seamless leaver/contractual change process for our employees
• Overseeing project work that is processed by the team
• Quality checking HR Administrators data entry and providing team members with real time constructive feedback
• Enhancing current processes to ensure we deliver service excellence
• Upskilling and coaching team members to deliver a customer centric HR service
• Investigation escalation and queries as required
• Responding to queries and requests as required

Skills and experience

We are looking for:
• Attention to detail is a key fundamental part of this role, with the ability to prioritise and manage high volumes of work, maintain quality and accuracy and provide excellent service delivery
• Ability to manage own time effectively
• Ability to work at pace
• Able to put the employee experience at the heart of all tasks
• Fantastic organisational skills and ability to multi-task
• Proactive, willing to challenge and have the confidence to identify and recommend changes and improvements
• Experience of working in a fast paced team, ideally globally and in a HR Service Centre environment
• Sound experience of working within a team handling a high volume of work
• Excellent communication skills, including high quality of written English
• Ability to think on your feet and look for solutions to challenges
• An understanding of HR Service Function is a distinct advantage
• Experience of working at team leader/supervisor level is a distinct advantage
• Good stakeholder management experience
• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
