JOB SUMMARY
The HR Operations & HRIS Analyst provides senior-level analytical and execution support across HR operations and HR technology, with a strong focus on data integrity, process consistency, and system optimization. This role is responsible for executing approved HR actions in the HRIS, managing HR Action Forms (HRAFs), supporting reporting and audits, and assisting with the implementation and rollout of UKG Ready.
Reporting to the Senior Leader, HR Operations & HRIS, this role serves as a key operational partner by translating HR strategy and system design into accurate, timely, and compliant execution. The Senior Analyst supports system enhancements, testing, documentation, and post-implementation stabilization efforts, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across HR operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring HR systems and processes function effectively, consistently, and as designed
LOCATION- This position is on-site, office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model - 3 days remote / 2 days in office- Tuesday & Wednesday)
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
HR Operations & HRAF Management
Serve as the primary administrator for HR Action Forms (HRAFs), including intake, completeness review, tracking, and status updates
Ensure all HRAFs receive appropriate approvals prior to system entry
Manage effective dates and payroll timing in alignment with payroll close schedules
Coordinate with HR, Payroll, and Benefits partners to resolve processing issues
HRIS Administration
Execute approved employee data changes in UKG (job changes, reporting relationships, organizational updates, non-compensation changes)
Monitor workflows and system queues to ensure timely processing
Support user access requests and role provisioning based on approved access controls
Run standard and recurring HR reports; validate data for accuracy
Conduct routine audits to ensure data integrity (job codes, grades, managers, cost centers)
Process Documentation & SOP Development
Document HR Operations and HRIS processes, including step-by-step SOPs and job aids
Assist in developing standardized intake forms, workflows, and process maps
Identify opportunities for process efficiency and consistency
UKG Ready Implementation & HR Technology Support
Support the implementation and rollout of UKG Ready, including data validation, system configuration support, testing coordination, and cutover preparation
Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) by executing test scenarios, documenting results, and tracking defects or enhancement requests
Support data migration efforts by validating employee, job, compensation, and organizational data for accuracy and completeness
Partner with HR Operations & HRIS leadership to document new processes, workflows, and system changes associated with UKG Ready
Assist in creation of SOPs, job aids, and training materials to reflect new system functionality
Support post-go-live stabilization activities, including issue tracking, data audits, and user support
Help ensure integrations between UKG Ready and other HR systems (payroll, benefits, recruiting, learning, reporting tools) function as intended
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency leveraging UKG Ready functionality
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
No direct Reports. May monitor and coordinate the work of temporary employees and student interns
Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Five (5) years of progressive experience in HR Operations, HRIS administration, People Operations, or a related HR function
Demonstrated experience executing HR transactions within an HRIS environment (UKG is preferred)
Experience supporting HR processes, data integrity, and operational workflows
Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee data
Preferred
Experience supporting or participating in an HRIS implementation or system migration (UKG Ready preferred)
Experience documenting HR processes, SOPs, or workflow designs
Experience working with cross-functional partners such as Payroll, Benefits, Finance, or IT
Prior experience in a complex, multi-department or matrixed organization
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or HRIS-related training
ABILITIES
Analyze and validate HR data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing requests in a fast-paced environment
Follow defined processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement
Exercise sound judgment and maintain discretion when handling confidential information
