HSET Advisor – Karara

Salary Range: $155,000 - $165,000
About the Role
Karridale Group is seeking an experienced HSET Advisor to join our Site Operations team at Karara. Reporting to the Site Manager and Operations Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting site operations through the implementation of health and safety management plans, policies, and systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional to work on site, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, advising on risk mitigation measures, and investigating safety incidents to drive continuous improvement in our health, safety, environmental and training standards.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the site management team to ensure HSET requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Establish and maintain accurate HSET statistics and compile weekly and monthly HSE reports
Review and close out items on the site corrective action register from inspections, audits, hazard cards and toolboxes
Conduct daily inspections and provide advice on risks and controls
Support incident investigations and risk assessments, including coaching and facilitating
Manage and deliver training and assessments, including VOC and site-specific inductions for new starters
Collect training requirements and organise training courses on and off site
Undertake internal audits and assist with external audits to verify compliance
Provide consistent advice to employees and site management on HSET issues
Assist with preparation of pre-start and toolbox meeting materials
Assist with the preparation and review of HSE Management Plans, Team Based Risk Assessments, HSE Procedures and Forms
About You
Essential Qualifications:
Certificate 4 or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110)
Australian Driver's Licence
Current Working at Heights Training
Current Confined Space Training
Essential Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or construction industry
Key Skills:
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and laws
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and with others
Ability to work strictly according to instructions
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks efficiently
Advanced computer software skills, including Microsoft suite and database/online applications
