Your role, your impact
As a Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) reporting to the Senior Director, Human Capital Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for all HC-related activities in the growing Toronto region. You will collaborate closely with managers, senior leadership, and the broader HC team to ensure alignment of programs and services with organizational goals. You will also contribute to both regional and national HC initiatives in partnership with the Canadian HC Business Partner team.

Your day-to-day
Serve as a strategic advisor to assigned business groups on all HC matters, including performance management, talent and succession planning, employee relations, engagement, and compensation;

Communicate, support, and implement changes related to HC programs, policies, processes, performance evaluations, and compensation cycles;

Collaborate with managers and senior leaders to develop and execute HC strategies aligned with business objectives;

Analyze HC KPIs and trends to generate actionable insights and recommendations;

Contribute to organizational change initiatives by providing HC expertise and guidance;

Support the development and execution of employee development and succession plans;

Act as a key contact for HC-related inquiries and collaborate with the wider Canadian HC team;

Deliver and facilitate training for managers and employees on various HC topics, identifying and addressing training needs;

Gather and use partner feedback to improve HC service delivery;

Recommend and drive process improvements that enhance the employee experience;

Provide guidance on employment legislation and compliance across Ontario and other national/regional/global jurisdictions;

Lead and participate in multiple HC projects simultaneously, ensuring timely coordination and delivery;

Apply business acumen and HR expertise to align people strategies with business goals;

Work closely with leadership and global HC counterparts to deliver initiatives that support both local and global objectives.

Keys to your success
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration (with HR focus), or a related field;

7 to 10 years of experience in an HCBP role;

Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;

Experience managing or contributing to regional or global HR projects;

Sound understanding of employment legislation in Ontario;

Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships across the organization;

Ability to identify and mitigate people-related risks;

Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work independently;

Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical HR solutions;

Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and team collaboration;

Strong business acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels;

Strategic mindset with the ability to align people strategies with business objectives;

Extra edge

Knowledge of employment legislation across other jurisdictions;

Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
