About the Position
The city is seeking an experienced Human Resource / Employee Relations Professional to join our People Experience team to make an impact in a dynamic and supportive team environment. As a Human Resource Business Partner, you will be the central point of contact across your allocated portfolio and will play a key role in supporting our leaders to foster a great workplace culture and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
As a part of team, you will strive to deliver an exceptional people experience through all phases of the employee lifecycle, with a determined focus on our people being the key to our success.
To be successful in this role you will use your skills and expertise to:
Build partnerships so you can provide high level Human Resource and Employee Relations expertise and support to internal stakeholders across your portfolio.
Contribute to strategic people experience initiatives and projects that will create a positive experience and workplace culture through all phases of the employee lifecycle; and
Drive a positive culture throughout the organisation with alignment to processes, systems, policies, and legislation.
The Person
Our Human Resource Business Partners are expected to exemplify values of inclusiveness, positivity, accountability, and teamwork.
Our ideal candidate is someone that:
Degree qualified in Human Resources Management or a related discipline and / or substantial relevant experience.
Substantial HR generalist, employee relations, and/or workplace investigations experience, preferably in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a business-focused mindset and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders effectively.
Can prioritise their workload and doesn’t shy away from a challenge.
Knows their stuff when it comes to relevant legislation and compliance.
Can communicate complex information simply and effectively.
Ability to empower our people leaders in all aspects of Human Resources.
Has initiative and can-do attitude.
Enjoys the reward of a team environment.
