Job Role: We are looking for an HR manager to maintain and develop effective internal procedures, handle employee-related issues, support recruiting and retention efforts, and keep performance at peak levels.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• MBA in human resources or related (essential).
• Work experience in the hospitality industry(hotels & restaurants).
• Hands on experience with HRIS and payroll software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
• Effective HR administration and people management skills.
• Exposure to payroll practices.
• Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Additional diploma in Hotel Management is a plus.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Designing hiring plans for the hotel departments based on seasonal needs.
• Managing compensation and benefits plans.
• Overseeing employee attendance and working schedules, including paid time off , overtime and breaks.
• Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
• Serve as a point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators.
• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
• Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
• Assist with performance management procedures
• Coordinate accommodation, catering and transport for our staff when necessary.
• Ensure that the hotel staff complies with relevant health and safety
