MBA in human resources or related (essential).Work experience in the hospitality industry(hotels & restaurants).Hands on experience with HRIS and payroll software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
Effective HR administration and people management skills.
Exposure to payroll practices.
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
Additional diploma in Hotel Management is a plus.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designing hiring plans for the hotel departments based on seasonal needs.
Managing compensation and benefits plans.
Overseeing employee attendance and working schedules, including paid time off , overtime and breaks.
Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
Serve as a point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators.
Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
Assist with performance management proceduresCoordinate accommodation, catering and transport for our staff when necessary.
Ensure that the hotel staff complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
Organize employee records , like contracts , paying special attention to work permits .Schedule training for all hotel employees.
Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
