Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
· Support internal and external HR inquiries or requests related to HR issues, rules, policies, processes, and regulations.
· Maintain accurate electronic employee records.
· Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including posting job ads, identifying candidates, screening applications, conducting phone interviews, and onboarding new hires.
· Prepare and present employment offers and maintain documentation throughout the hiring process.
· Conduct orientation sessions for new recruits and ensure proper mandatory training is both assigned and completed.
· Assist in processing new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
· Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintain agendas.
· Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure seamless transitions for employees.
· Back up and support payroll processing as needed.
· Assist where necessary to track and execute HR Programs.
· Stay current with HR trends and best practices.
· Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
· Post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
· 2 years of experience in a similar HR role.
· Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong candidate sourcing abilities through digital and non-digital channels.
· Understanding of unionized work environments an asset.
