Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Human Resources professional to manage and support all HR functions for a growing security company. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, discipline, professionalism, and operational readiness across uniformed and administrative personnel. The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of the security industry, including scheduling, licensing, confidentiality, and workforce accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & HR Operations
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and management
Administer onboarding, offboarding, disciplinary actions, and separations
Maintain employee personnel files and confidential records
Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
Advise leadership on corrective actions, counseling, and performance issues
Recruitment & Staffing
Coordinate hiring processes for security officers, supervisors, and administrative staff
Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and manage hiring documentation
Verify employment eligibility, background checks, and licensing requirements
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Monitor and enforce company policies including attendance, conduct, uniforms, and drug/alcohol policies
Track and manage required certifications, licenses, and training compliance
Assist with audits, investigations, and incident documentation as needed
Payroll, Scheduling & Timekeeping Support
Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate employee data, hours, and pay classifications
Address pay discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and employee inquiries
Support leadership with scheduling compliance and workforce planning
Training & Development
Assist in coordinating orientation, training, and continuing education
Track training completion and certification renewals
Support leadership development and internal promotion processes
Benefits & Employee Support
Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions
Serve as a resource for employee concerns while maintaining neutrality and professionalism
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in Human Resources (HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar role)
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities
Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
HR experience within security, law enforcement, military, or operations-driven environments
Familiarity with security licensing, background checks, and compliance requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification (preferred, not required)
Work Environment
Fast-paced, operations-driven security environment
Requires professionalism, firmness, and consistency
Occasional after-hours availability for urgent HR matters
