The Role

We are excited to share an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the FedEx team on a full time, permanent basis located in Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine).

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by challenges and eager to contribute to our ongoing transformation of the People Operations function. This transformation aims to make People Operations more strategic and business-focused, while partnering closely with our SME teams to implement an already existing mature and optimized Industrial & Employee Relations model.

This role requires flexibility and a readiness to support across operational site in Victoria and other states thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as we continue to shape the future of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering & People Operations Support: Partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts to craft and implement strategic HR initiatives to align people practices with organisational goals. Provide trusted advice and guidance to employees and leadership on all HR and People matters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Leadership Coaching: Champion continuous learning by identifying capability needs, and in conjunction with centres of excellence teams, facilitate targeted coaching and educational workshops.
HR Knowledge Enhancement: Continuously develop and apply a comprehensive understanding of FedEx’s HR principles, processes, tools, and best practices to drive operational excellence.
Employee Relations: Provide proactive and trusted advice on employee and industrial relations in unionised workforce; collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver effective, long-term solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners in other functions to provide integrated strategic solutions. Work closely with the broader HR team to create a unified, cohesive HR support structure that ensures seamless operations. Build healthy relationships with unions, recognising and navigating industrial complexities to influence positive outcomes.
HR Data Analytics: Utilise HR data analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and craft strategic solutions that drive organisational success.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:


A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR qualification.
Extensive experience in Human Resources business partnering, with a sound understanding of Australian employment law.
Proven track record of working in complex industrial environments and collaborating with unions on employee matters.
Demonstrated experience in strategic business partnership, successfully aligning HR initiatives with organizational priorities.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and driving change.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, from senior leadership to operational staff.
