Job Description
A typical day in this role may include the following:
Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Maintain and update employee records, files, and HRIS systems in compliance with legal and company standards.
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition events.
Assist in conducting exit interviews and coordinating offboarding procedures.
Help ensure compliance with federal, provincial employment laws, as well as hotel policies.
Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and assist in various HR projects and audits.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment that supports the hotel’s culture and values.
Other HR duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Discreet and able to handle confidential information with integrity.
Knowledge of HR policies and employment laws is a plus.
