We require the talent of a Human Resources Generalist to join our Team. The Human Resources Generalist will provide the business with end to end support in the areas of Recruitment, Onboarding, Benefit Administration, Disability Management & Employee Communications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Full time permanent. on-site Monday – Friday (Day shift)
DUTIES:
Full Cycle, internal and external recruitment, for hourly and salaried positions including the employee maintenance and onboarding activities for new hires and employees returning from leave status;
Administer the employee health program: Managing employee enrollments, assisting with the resolution of benefit issues, reconciliation of invoices and liaising with service provider;
Management of short term disability claims, including communication and documentation with employees and insurance provider;
Management of training needs for both legal compliance and internal policy compliance;
Maintain and administer attendance program including monitoring and correcting timeclock exceptions, attendance issues, point system and discipline level. Initiate appropriate action for problem case;
Facilitate and support effective employee and labour relations activities and support team with collective agreement interpretation, policy application and development;
Assist team employee experience: coordination of social and charitable events, manage long service and retirement employee recognition milestones.
IDEAL:
Post secondary education in Human Resources, completion of CHRP preferred, with 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector;
Detail oriented with strong analytical/organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and requests;
Strong relationship building skills with the ability to resolve sensitive and/or stressful situations in a calm and effective manner;
High level of computer competency, including work experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
