We are looking for driven and motivated HR professionals who are enthusiastic about the various aspects of HR, and applying management principles to ensure the smooth and successful functioning of a law firm with offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru.Professionals in this role will work as a directly with the Firm’s Director of Strategy, in a role that encompasses strategic management, operations, and execution related work with the HR department across offices.Interested candidates must possess the desire to work in a comprehensive and all-encompassing HR role, and be interested in understanding and contributing towards the inner workings of a legal organisation.Do note that this role is at a law firm and will be based out of Mumbai, with the office located at Nariman Point. Working days will be from Monday to Saturday. Interested candidates must have 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources.An indicative list of responsibilities includes the following:Strategy and ProcessesSupporting the development, adoption, and implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and systems as introduced by the Firm from time to time. This may include HR initiatives such as structuring lawyer rotations and the mentoring program, amongst others.Supporting the management in addressing disciplinary and grievance issues.Assisting in team structuring, recruitment planning, defining KRAs, and maintaining the organisation chart.Compensation benchmarking and conducting competitive benefits analysis.Recruitment Preparing position descriptions, overseeing the talent acquisition process, and supervising the applicant life cycle including the coordination with relevant stakeholders. Monitoring position requisitions and liaising with recruiters for sourcing applicants to fulfil Firm requirements.Screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and attending evaluation conversations to perform first-level checks.Providing weekly updates to the management on the recruitment pipeline and other relevant performance metrics.Onboarding, Orientation, and SeparationSupervising the onboarding process for lawyers and staff.Conducting and coordinating role-specific orientation sessions for incoming lawyers and staff.Supervising the separation process for lawyers and staff.Conducting and analysing exit interviews.Maintaining the records and archives of lawyer, staff, and other relevant data.Training and DevelopmentAssisting in designing and expanding training and development programmes based on the needs of the Firm.Assisting Partners and KgM in organising training sessions on an as-needed basis.Payroll Management and AppraisalsAssisting the management in running the annual incentives and increments exercise.Assisting in the determination and disbursements of accurate and timely incentives and increments.Assisting in tracking leaves, probation, and reimbursements data for payroll processing.InternshipsOverseeing the internships program.Liaising with external internships coordinator for sourcing and assessing interns
