Job Description
We are a fast-growing full-service real estate company that consists of several wholly owned subsidiary companies that focus on investment, property management, and development of multifamily/affordable housing. The HR Generalist position will be primarily responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll for 400+ employees using Paycom, workers compensation claims, employee benefits and other human resources related tasks. The ideal candidate will handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature and must function efficiently and effectively in a professional environment. Must be able to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Ability to organize and maintain administrative processes is essential to this position. The ideal candidate will be flexible, forward-thinking, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• On-boarding of new hires, employee profile maintenance and terminations in the Paycom system.
• Data maintenance within the HR department and Paycom software.
• Payroll processing on a semi-monthly basis using the Paycom platform.
• Processing daily employee status change forms, payroll changes, periodic off-cycle payrolls.
• Primary or backup for employee benefits, 401k, employee training.
• Process background checks for all new hires.
• Employee counselings
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
• MS Outlook, Word and Excel - Intermediate levels necessary
• Paycom experience with onboarding and payroll.
• Experience with a high volume of employee onboarding a plus
• 3+ years of high-volume payroll processing experience
• 3+ years of high-volume benefit experience.
