Salary range: $70,000-$+0,000 CAD (based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills).
What you will be doing:
Manage recruitment of both, craft and staff
Manage onboarding and off-boarding activities
Assist in handling labour relations issues and provide advice on resolution
Maintain employee lists, tracking recruiting efforts as required
Administer and process HR documents
Manage employee records, training records, documents, and update information accordingly
Support employees with their inquiries on a variety of employment-related matters
Provide employees and managers administrative support with HR-related processes, procedures, and policies.
Update Staffing Plans and other HR plans as required
Ensure employee confidentiality privacy through the management of personal data
Organize and schedule meetings, activities, trainings, and events
What we are looking for:
Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other relevant discipline is strongly preferred
Knowledge of and experience with the employment-related legislation in the Province of British Columbia
Minimum of 5 years of labour relations experience
Experience working in a unionized environment in the construction industry is required
Experience with unionized craft hiring and management in the construction environmnet is required
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365. Experience with advanced functions of Excel is required
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) at all levels in the organization
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
Willing to work in fast-paced environment and/or with tight deadlines
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Passion for excellence with a very high level of attention to detail with a sense of urgency
Proven problem-solving skills; analytical skills
Ability to work flexible hours when needed
