Job Description
To be effective as an HR intern, you should stay up to date on the newest developments in labour legislation to evaluate how business HR practices may be affected. Finally, an amazing HR intern should be detail-oriented and able to display good administrative and organizational abilities.
Roles & responsibilities of HR interns:
• Updating corporate databases by entering new employee contact information and employment facts.
• Screening potential workers' resumes and application forms to find acceptable applicants to fill corporate employment openings.
• Organizing interviews with shortlisted applicants.
• Posting job postings on job boards and social media channels.
• Once vacancies have been filled, employment adverts are removed from job boards and social media channels.
• Assisting the HR department in acquiring market wage information.
• Assisting with the organizing of workplace events.
• Creating and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to applicants.
• Organizing new hire orientations.
• Responding to staff inquiries about HR rules, employee benefits, and other HR-related issues.
Pre-requisites:
• Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studies toward a degree in human resource management or a similar profession.
• Knowledge of HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is useful.
• Mastery of all Microsoft Office apps.
• The capacity to operate as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent administrative and organizing abilities.
• Communication abilities that are effective.
• Detail-oriented.
