As Human Resources Officer at Scofell Landscapes you will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support our growing team. This role demands a self-starter who is proactive and detail-oriented individual with a very strong background in HR administration, HR systems and new employee onboarding, The ideal candidate will have prior experience in HR roles and a track record of success in establishing HR practices.
HR Manager - Responsibilities:
• Overseeing all recruitment process, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of all candidates. Manage employee lifecycle. TUPE processes.
• Together with the HR Co-ordinator responsible for the maintenance of all employee records, tracking sickness, holiday & absence and pre-employment checks using the online systems of Worknest and Staffvetting.
• Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues that may arise.
• With the support of the Directors Management of the disciplinary process from start to finish (letters and meetings with employees), ensuring best practice is followed by Managers.
• Reporting to the Finance Director monthly with any salary variations
• Monitoring of probation/induction timelines working alongside department Managers
• Monitor staff sickness in line with Bradford factor policy
• Working closely with Management to identify and plan staff deployment and strategically plan for future gaps in recruitment
• Provide HR guidance and support to Management where necessary
• Working closely with Management to nurture workforce and staff engagement
• Work with Directors to plan and implement team building and staff engagement days
• Setting and reviewing pay structures, employee perks and benefits
• Ensuring policies relating to HR are kept up to date
• Provide confidential support and guidance in any HR related matters to all employees, using an open-door policy.
• Line manage HR & Health & Safety Co-ordinator
• Launch with the assistance of our HR consultancy a new HR software package and provide tools and frameworks to support both employees and managers
HR Manager - Key attributes
• Prior experience in an operational HR Role
• CIPD qualification desirable but not essential
• Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong attention to detail/accuracy/confidentiality
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Positive, empathetic and approachable manner5
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and remain calm under pressure
• Collaborative and pragmatic approach to work
• Excellent user of Microsoft and Excel applications

We are looking for someone to work between 32 – 40 hrs a week.
Salary is up to £41,600 pro rated per annum
