Background
Ca. 200 million children are suffering from malnutrition, with malnutrition contributing to one-third of deaths of children under the age of five. In the fight against malnutrition, detection is the first important step, but this is not an easy task: Measuring children with traditional methods is still a complex, slow, and expensive task, frequently resulting in poor data and wrong assessments of the child’s health. Early detection of malnutrition becomes the key for initiating treatment, minimizing the risk of complications, and saving lives by reducing the chances of death to a great extent.

Every child should be measured for healthy growth and screened for signs of malnutrition to ensure their right to health and the UN’s goal of Zero Hunger worldwide. Our mission is to provide quick and accurate data on children’s nutritional status in the most ethical way. Our solution to measure children replaces hardware (measuring boards and physical scales) with off the shelf cellphones and AI.
Our solution
The Child Growth Monitor uses augmented reality enabled smartphones to record 3D scans of children. Artificial Intelligence is used to predict their height, weight and middle upper-arm circumference.
Your Tasks
• Conducting the full cycle recruiting process including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding tech candidates.
• Working directly with our technical experts and stakeholders to attract and secure the best candidates.
• Contributing to the development of interview, onboarding and training processes.
• Building and owning the strategy to recruit efficiently at a high volume and fast pace.
• Setting up professional HR structure and processes for a tech start-up.
• Being responsible for setting and following up on learning and development targets.
• Benchmarking performance across start-ups in Deep Tech.
• Setting up performance management systems.
• Procuring and maintaining any HR tech system (if needed).
• Working with senior leadership team to set and drive performance based on OKRs.
• Aiding in conflict & change management between and within leadership and the team.
Mandatory requirements
• Minimum 3+ years of experience working in an entrepreneurial tech environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities. Preferably in an early stage, fast moving technology start-up, setting up HR processes from scratch.
• Proven experience in the (Indian) tech industry.
• Hands-on experience in tech resources recruitment & hiring, including job posting (job portals and sites), resume sourcing, resume screening, conducting interviews, and follow-ups.
• Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and to build and maintain a positive work environment with the ability to negotiate and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion.
• Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.
• Strong analytics skills and understanding of data patterns, good MS Excel skills
• Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation
• Strong personality, disciplinarian, excellent at managing conflicts and personnel
