The Opportunity
We have a full-time, regular position available for a Human Resources Manager. The HR team is a dedicated
to fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace true to its values. The HR team works
collaboratively with one another, leadership, and staff while providing expertise in labour relations,
organizational change, compliance, and leadership development, driving a people-centered approach to
operational success.
The Position
The HR Manager provides both strategic and hands-on support, ensuring HR services align with business
objectives and organizational priorities. This role oversees HR service delivery, advising on labour relations,
workplace policies, workforce development, and organizational change. As an internal resource, the HR
Manager ensures that HR strategies align with operational needs, fosters a healthy and inclusive workplace
culture, and drives initiatives that enhance engagement, compliance, and leadership effectiveness—all
while leading a small team and managing day-to-day responsibilities. A full job description is available on

Salary to be negotiated within the out-of-scope leadership scales based on experience and education.
Salary is based on a 35-hour workweek. Hours may be adjusted to include evenings and weekends when
necessary.
The Qualifications
Required
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources, Labour Studies, Industrial Relations,
Organizational Psychology, or Commerce. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
5 years’ experience in human resources management.
3 years’ experience in non-profit settings.
2 years’ demonstrated leadership experience.
CPHR designation or actively working towards it.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Pension and Benefits administration experience.
Experience developing and administering workplace safety and health programs.
Experience developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall
business strategy.
Knowledgeable on relevant provincial legislation acts and regulations as well as employee and labour
relations trends and issues.
