Job Description:
Mudskipper, a premium factual entertainment film production house based in Bangalore, is seeking a Human Resource Manager & Operations Manager to join our team. As the Human Resource Manager & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various HR functions, policies, and programs, as well as managing the overall operations of the company. This position will report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
Human Resource Management:
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with labour laws and regulations.
• Support the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Manage the employee programmes and leave policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of employee records and HR data in the company's HRIS system.
• Support employee training and development initiatives, including identifying training needs, organising training sessions, and tracking attendance.
• Conduct regular performance management activities, including employee evaluations and feedback sessions.
• Resolve employee relations issues, including conflicts, complaints, and grievances, in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with employees, management, and external HR service providers.
• Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Operations Management:
• Manage the overall operations of the company by being a bridge between the production, studio, finance departments & the CEO.
• Oversee the production process from pre-production to post-production, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of projects.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with production teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage budgets and financial performance by working closely with the finance team to forecast and track expenses and revenue.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and practices to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
• Continuously assess and improve the company's operational processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a related field
• 3+ years of experience in HR Management or Operations Management roles.
• Knowledge of HR best practices and labour laws and regulations in India.
• Proven track record of managing complex operations and delivering high-quality projects.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
