Job Summary:

We are seeking to appoint a HR and Payroll Administrator to join our team and work alongside the Payroll Manager. This role will focus on Payroll input and HR administration. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, numerate, and have strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel. A self-starter with a high focus on accuracy, you will work to deadlines and help maintain a smooth Payroll and HR administrative processes. You will be responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager with processing payroll for 700+ employees including providing support with HR administration tasks managing full lifecycle administration of all family leave (including maternity, paternity, shared parental, adoption, and parental leave), Flexible working requests and absence management.



Duties/Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

End-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the payroll cycle.
Process statutory payments and deductions, including enhanced company schemes.
Manage new starters and leavers in the payroll system.
Handle sick pay, parental pay, overtime, bonuses, pay increases, and other pay-related variations.
Assist with preparing payroll reports and setting up BACS payments for salaries, pensions, and HMRC liabilities.
Maintain secure HR and payroll records and ensure data accuracy across both functions.
Respond to staff payroll queries in a timely manner and resolve any payroll-related issues.
Administer employee pension schemes, including enrolment, contributions, and liaising with pension providers. Ensure compliance with UK payroll regulations, tax laws, and pension auto-enrolment requirements.


HR Administration:

Manage the full administration of all family leave (including maternity, paternity, shared parental, adoption, and parental leave), Flexible working requests and absence management.
Assist with HR-related administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, onboarding documentation, and leaver processing.
Support the administration of company benefits, renewals, and employee policies, including maternity, paternity, and sickness policies.
Act as a first point of contact for Payroll & HR-related queries from staff and managers, providing guidance on policy application.
Assist with preparing monthly pension contributions and liaise with the pension provider.


Required Skills/Abilities:

2+ years of relevant experience in HR and Payroll administration.
Knowledge or certification in UK Payroll (e.g., CIPP).
Experience with ADP Payroll software and SAP SuccessFactors is highly desirable.
