We are searching for a talented HVAC Mechanic
Hours : 40hrs
Shift : Day shift, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm
Location : St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Compensation : Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Responsibilities
Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities or designee, perform routine predictive & preventive maintenance on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC / R) equipment and systems throughout the facilities.
Perform renovations and install new HVAC / R systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC / R equipment and systems.
Maintain HVAC / R inventory. Make repairs, calibrate and functionally test equipment and systems. Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Heating preferred.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Related experience required to demonstrate ability to operate and maintain typical HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Systems.
• Two (2) years experience in a hospital or industrial environment with knowledge in the maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, energy management systems and associated equipment.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
Pay Range
USD $24.72 - USD $41.1+ / Hr.
