We’re looking for a Hydrovac Operator to support our growing operations in Red Deer. The Hydro Vac Operator will safely perform excavation around underground utilities using pressurized water and vacuum equipment. Primary duties will include operating hydro vac truck, conducting daily pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance, following all safety protocols, and completing required reports and documentation. The role also involves interpreting utility locates and drawings to ensure precise and safe excavation activities. In this role, you’ll help keep our values alive — ensuring that as we scale, we continue to lead with care, connection, and community.


What You’ll Do

Operate hydro vac trucks safely and efficiently in the telecommunication and light power facility construction.
Use small hand tools to support excavation tasks as required.
Perform trenching, and utility exposure using accurate interpretation of utility locates, drawings, and site schematics.
Maintain a strong safety focus, following company procedures, using proper PPE, and ensuring safe truck positioning on every site.
Complete routine inspections and basic maintenance on hydro vac units, including pre-trip checks, troubleshooting, and end-of-day cleaning.
Accurately complete daily reports, inspections, and required job documentation in a timely manner.
Support efficient site operations by rigging equipment in and out of work areas and communicating effectively with supervisors and crew members.
Manual work to support daily project tasks.

Who You Are

Must provide a current Commercial Drivers Abstract.
Love to work outdoors in all climate conditions.
Ground Disturbance Level II.
Standard First Aid CPR.
Team player who can work well under pressure.

What You Need

Hydro Vac experience in the telecommunication and light power facility construction.
This position requires the ability to perform the safe operation of a hydro vac truck.
Valid Class 3 Drivers License.
Ability to work in a team environment.
