Hours: 3 Week shift pattern average 4.67 shifts per week

Salary: £645.52 per week

Safety First: Champion a safety-first culture, complying with all Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety standards.
Operational Excellence: Operate a wide range of equipment and follow site procedures to deliver top-quality products.
Hygiene Leadership: Lead hygiene activities, inspections, and improvements. Manage hygiene team members and contractors, and deputise for the Hygiene Team Manager when needed.
Quality Focused: Ensure all products meet Warburtons’ high standards, making quality-driven decisions.
Collaboration: Work closely with teams across engineering, production, technical, and compliance to align hygiene activities with business needs.
What We’re Looking For:
Ability to follow complex procedures and work independently
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrates the ability to use a variety of IT systems
Experience in hygiene management and contractor coordination e.g. site inspection for pest control, maintenance and services of equipment.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Willingness to adapt and learn new skills across operations
The Recipe
You’ll be working across a multi-skilled, fast-paced operation, taking ownership of hygiene standards, equipment operation, and product quality. Reporting to a 1st Line Manager, you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions and drive improvements with minimal supervision.
Covering a 3 week shift pattern at an average of 4.67 shifts per week:
Week 1 - Tue-Fri 7am-5pm, Sat 7am-2pm
Week 2 - Mon-Fri 7am-5pm
Week 3 - Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm
Health and Safety and Quality are very important to us, and we work to Company standards and statutory hygiene standards, our Team Members will be actively involved in making appropriate decisions to ensure we are working to those standards.
Providing basic support and guidance within the Team, leading by example in work activities.

Located in the heart of Lancashire is the home of our delicious Crumpets, Pancakes, and Potato Cakes and other freshly baked products that are produced and distributed from our Burnley Bakery.
With approximately 360 colleagues, working across 7 manufacturing plants and on a variety of different shift patterns, we operate 363 days of the year running 24 hours a day.
