We are looking for a talented and experienced Interior Project Manager to oversee turnkey residential and commercial interior projects from inception to completion.
Role Overview As an Interior Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of interior projects execution including planning, budgeting, resource management, and client coordination. You will supervise site activities, ensure quality and safety compliance, lead the project team, and ensure smooth handover and post-completion support.
Key Responsibilities
1.Project Planning & Execution
• Collaborate with designers, clients, and vendors to understand project goals and requirements.
• Develop detailed project timelines with milestones and deadlines.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and tools effectively.
• Should understand & coordinate all the modular and manual wood work processes and operations.
• Delegate tasks to site supervisors, carpenters, and other sub-contractors.
2.Budget Management
• Prepare and oversee project budgets including materials, labor, and contingencies.
• Approve vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, and monitor expenditures.
• Review invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain organized financial records.
3.Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for timely delivery.
• Act as primary client contact, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Organize and lead stakeholder meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
4.Quality Control & Compliance
• Ensure work meets design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Implement snag lists to identify and resolve defects or incomplete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and safety protocols.
5.Timeline Management
• Monitor project progress to meet milestones.
• Identify potential delays and implement corrective measures.
• Communicate timeline changes to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage 4–5 new projects per month simultaneously while keeping track of the previous months projects and by maintaining efficiency.
6.Risk Management
• Proactively identify risks such as delays, cost overruns, or vendor issues and create contingency plans.
• Manage client expectations and provide solutions for unforeseen challenges.
7.Site Supervision & Problem-Solving
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress.
• Resolve design conflicts, vendor delays, and quality issues in collaboration with site supervisors.
8.Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain thorough records of contracts, change orders, timelines, invoices, and payments
• Provide daily / weekly project status reports.
• Ensure proper documentation for project closure including snag lists and client sign-offs.
9.Team Leadership & Motivation
• Lead project teams including site supervisors, carpenters, electricians, and other sub-contractors.
• Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and resolve internal conflicts.
10.Project Handover & Closure
• Conduct final inspections and ensure completion of all punch list items & snag list items.
• Oversee handover process, providing warranties, invoices, and documentation to clients.
• Address post-project handover concerns and provide maintenance or aftercare guidance.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in interior project management handling premium & luxury clients.
• Proven experience managing turnkey residential and commercial projects from inception to completion
Skills & Competencies
• Strong project management, budgeting, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret and manage working drawings across modular / manual carpentry, false ceilings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related work scopes.
• Strong leadership, team coordination, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving, conflict management, decision-making, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and interior design principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Professional, patient, and polite client communication.
Personal Attributes
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven attitude.
• Confident communication skills in Telugu, English, and Hindi.
• Client-focused with a keen eye for quality and design.
Other Requirements
• Willingness to travel to out of station project sites also as needed.
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
• Mandatory 6-day work week (Sunday off; flexibility to work on Sundays with alternate leave).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
