REMUNERATION, BENEFITS, HOURS
1. Salary ranges from $45,000 to $60,000 and will depend on years of experience, skills, and expertise

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience/Skills:
1. Ethical immigration experience mandatory. Two or more years of immigration assistant experience preferred.
2. High level professional English (CLB 10 or higher) required.
3. Strong arithmetic and proofreading skills are necessary.
4. Mandarin fluency is not required but is preferred.
5. Client experience is central to our practice. You should be someone who is highly responsive: you can walk into a room (or pick up a phone), engage naturally, think on your feet, and communicate with professional clarity and warmth. You ask questions, you listen actively, and you respond thoughtfully. If frequent human interaction feels draining or something to avoid, this role will not be a good fit.
6. High ethical standards meeting that expected by the Law Society of British Columbia.
7. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
8. Strong reliability and follow-through. You take ownership of responsibilities, complete routine tasks without repeated reminders, and ensure important details do not fall through the cracks.
9. Thrives in a dynamic environment with diverse tasks and deadlines.
10. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, professional documents.
11. Must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
1. Proofread grammar, punctuation, formatting, content.
2. Day-to-day trust bookkeeping (e.g., receipts, pre-bills, invoices)
3. Reception duties in-person, telephone, and email.
4. Provide excellent client support, including gathering documents, preparing correspondence, and maintaining effective communication
5. Prepare correspondence and gather necessary client information for immigration applications
6. Draft immigration applications for team and client review
7. Cross-train in reception and invoicing to support team operations when needed.
8. Respond to telephone, email, and in-person enquiries and arrange consultations
9. Perform clerical duties, such as mail processing, word processing, form filling, scanning and photocopying, and precise electronic document labelling and filing.
10. Strictly maintain calendaring of general office deadlines, important dates, and BF system
11. Contribute to maintaining a tidy and welcoming office environment, including shared kitchen upkeep, plants, and general organization.
12. Engage actively and professionally with clients and colleagues, contributing to a communicative, responsive, and personable office culture.
