Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage air and ocean import shipments from booking through delivery
• Track and trace shipments, providing timely updates to customers and internal teams
• Prepare and review import documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, Arrival Notices, Customs paperwork)
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies
• Arrange delivery and inland transportation as needed
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve shipment issues efficiently
• Monitor shipment timelines to ensure on-time delivery
• Maintain accurate shipment records in the company’s operating system
• Assist with invoicing and billing processes
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding (air and/or ocean imports preferred)
• Strong knowledge of import procedures and documentation
• Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
