Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact when equipment or machinery breaks down
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
Ensure all machinery and building systems remain fully operational
Assist production as needed to support workflow
Be available to stay late or come in early when urgent repairs are required
Follow all company safety procedures and site policies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Support and contribute to the preventative maintenance program
Document maintenance work, repairs, and inspections
Coordinate with team members to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience with lathe and milling machines
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Good communication skills
Welding experience or skills
Assets:
· Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
Familiarity with automated production equipment
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to work flexible hours when needed
Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working in a shop environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
