As an Industrial Manufacturing Scheduler Lead, you will be a key player in developing project schedules for a variety of exciting industrial and manufacturing endeavors. Your role will involve leading the schedule preparation process as well as mentoring and supporting your colleagues to achieve excellence in scheduling practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project teams to create, build, and update project schedules.
• Conduct detailed schedule reviews and communicate best practices to team members effectively.
• Engage in the complete construction planning process, from proposal to baseline schedules and ongoing updates.
• Leverage your expertise in JE Dunn's scheduling software to optimize project timelines efficiently.
• Provide training, resources, and support to colleagues while creating training materials.
• Regularly visit job sites to evaluate progress and make schedule adjustments as needed.
• Participate in Lean and Pull Planning sessions to align schedules with project requirements.
• Generate reports and resources for specific projects as required.
• Integrate resource and cost loading into collaborative schedules to enhance project performance.
• Provide cross-departmental support, including operations and marketing.
• Analyze regional market factors impacting project schedules for strategic planning.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and client engagement efforts.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Design and implement training programs aimed at elevating team scheduling skills.
• Lead project teams in assessing construction methods, delays, and devising recovery plans.
• Facilitate the development and sharing of scheduling best practices.
• Maintain a library of standard project schedule templates for team use.
• Mentor and coach junior staff as necessary to enhance their skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in planning and scheduling is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software is required.
• Ability to analyze construction methodologies and adjust schedules effectively.
Work Environment:
• Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel periodically, with the potential for relocation.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed to meet project demands.
• Normal office environment with potential exposure to outdoor conditions during site visits.
