We are looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanical Technician to join our team at a leading Cement Batching Plant / Precast Industry. This role involves the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and machinery critical to the production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, especially in an industrial environment such as cement batching plants or precast production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment in the cement batching plant or precast production facilities, including conveyors, mixers, pumps, and other heavy machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring minimal production downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems.
• Ensure smooth and efficient operation of mechanical machinery by adjusting settings and making repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical manuals, and operational schematics.
• Assist in the assembly and installation of new mechanical systems and machinery.
• Monitor the performance of mechanical equipment and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Work closely with electrical and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve cross-functional issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide immediate troubleshooting support.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Mechanical Technician, with specific experience in cement batching plants or precast industry.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, and heavy machinery maintenance.
• Certification: Relevant mechanical certification or equivalent training (e.g., Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further technical education or training in mechanical systems is an advantage.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices related to mechanical equipment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in industrial environments, including handling heavy machinery, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy loads.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Additional Skills: Experience in plant operations, preventive maintenance, and machinery calibration is an advantage.
