Role and Responsibilities:
As an Infant Teacher at Primrose School, you will play a foundational role in the early development of young children during their most critical stage of growth. You will create a nurturing, calm, and stimulating environment where infants can explore, bond, and begin their earliest learning experiences. With support from Primrose’s digital Balanced Learning® curriculum, you will guide infants through meaningful interactions, routines, and sensory activities that encourage physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants while helping them feel safe, loved, and secure.
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support exploration, bonding, and early developmental milestones.
• Create a clean, safe, and comforting classroom environment that meets state and Primrose safety standards.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families through daily communication and developmental updates.
• Observe and support each infant’s individual needs, recognizing differences in temperament, growth, and learning styles.
• Maintain consistent routines for feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime in a calm, organized manner.
• Collaborate with school leadership and participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen teaching skills and knowledge.
• Contribute to a positive, joyful school culture focused on teamwork, respect, and child-centered care.
Required Skills and Experience:
• A passion for working with infants and supporting early childhood development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families and colleagues.
• Experience in early childhood education or childcare settings preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a calm, nurturing presence.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in early childhood education or childcare settings (preferred but not required).
