Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Interior Designer for the Gujarat region. The candidate will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the needs and preferences of clients. This role involves conceptualizing design plans, selecting materials and furnishings, and overseeing the implementation of design projects from inception to completion. They will interact with technical team to understand their requirements, manage project timelines, and collaborate with other professionals within the organization to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
Qualifications
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience
Responsibilities
• Independently and collaboratively manage projects of varying sizes and complexities from Concept Phase through Construction Administration
• Deliver complete, accurate, and coordinated documentation for projects with aggressive schedules
• Develop solutions for technical and design challenges
• Prepare and modify interior documentation (plans, elevations, sections, details, etc.) under the guidance of project designers using CAD and BIM software
• Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical) and manage associated documentation, including clash detection within the BIM model
• Conduct field observations, report construction progress, and perform contract administration tasks (shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site observation reports)
• Lead project coordination and site meetings with internal teams and external consultants, owners, contractors, and subcontractors
• Ensure alignment with project budgets, schedules, and work plans
• Assist in proposal development as needed
Skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (including modeling and documentation), Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
• Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of architectural and interior building systems
• Effective organizational and collaboration skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to hand-sketch and effectively communicate concepts and ideas
• Understanding of sustainable design principles and climate-responsive architecture
• Conduct quality control reviews to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications
