About the Role
The Innovative Fabric Designer will play a key role in translating creative visions into production-ready garments. You will work closely with merchandising and production teams to ensure that your expertise in sustainable practices and materials is integrated into textile design processes.
Responsibilities:
• Create original textile patterns, block-prints, and motifs that are precise and production-ready.
• Research and draw inspiration from art, culture, nature, and beyond to develop compelling patterns and color schemes.
• Integrate sustainable practices and materials into textile design processes.
• Collaborate with sample makers and production teams on design constructability and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of all designs.
• Conduct thorough checks on prototypes and production samples.
Qualifications:
• 5-6 years of experience in textile design is required.
• A graduate/postgraduate degree in Textile Design from a reputable institution is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of block-print and surface design is essential.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is necessary.
