Job Description
Turning Tech Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inside Sales / Purchasing Coordinator to support our quoting, order management, and procurement activities. This is a critical role at the intersection of customer service, supply chain, and production planning. The successful candidate will manage quoting and order entry processes, act as a key liaison with customers, and ensure timely purchasing of raw materials to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Inside Sales & Customer Service
Review customer part prints / requirements, and prepare and send customer quotes, ensuring accurate pricing and lead times.
Follow up on open quotes and convert them into orders.
Enter and maintain customer orders in the ERP system.
Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery updates, and other inquiries.
Collaborate with the technical team to confirm feasibility and timelines for new RFQs.
Purchasing
Source and procure raw materials in accordance with job requirements and production schedules.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels and proactively identify supply risks.
Negotiate pricing and lead times with vendors to optimize cost and reliability.
Create and manage purchase orders, and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
Work closely with the production team to ensure material availability for upcoming jobs.
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
Maintain accurate and organized records of quotes, orders, and purchases.
Assist with supplier evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the President and production team with reporting and planning tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in inside sales, purchasing, or a similar administrative/coordinator role.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specs.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or precision machining environment is a strong asset.
Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with custom part/job shops preferred).
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
