Job Description
Cambria is currently looking for a certified Cardiology Technologist (Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists) to support instructional design and delivery of a new Cardiac Procedure courses within our Medical Laboratory Assistant Diploma (MLA) program at our Surrey location. This program is accredited by the BC Society of Laboratory Science (BCSLS). Schedule is flexible.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
The instructor will be required to contribute to the academic success of students and the program by:
Delivering instruction that meets the course competencies and program objectives as set out in the BCSLS approved program curriculum
Evaluate student performance in a timely manner
Work in collaboration with the program leader and Sr. MLT instructor to support the continuous development and improvement of the program.
Education and Experience:
Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists / Registered Cardiology Technologist certification required. (mandatory)
Degree or diploma from a recognized university or College in a relevant discipline required.
Two or more years' experience in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A credential in adult education will be an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction.
Ability to confidently provide instruction in the following areas: Cardiology Procedures*
Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Ability to work in a team environment contributing to the program’s success
Ability to work one on one with students that need individualized attention.
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
*Curriculum resources and tools will be developed in support with the Director of Education. The successful candidate will be expected to confidently provide expertise in this subject matter and instruction on these topics.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
