We have several proprietary platforms and tools to facilitate the management and execution of dealer facing parts marketing programs. We build customized Business Intelligence systems for Fortune 500 firms. Our office is located in Novi, Michigan.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for setting up and maintaining multiple servers, RDBMS systems and AWS Cloud Technology. It also includes providing day to day DBA support to the development team.
Job Responsibilities
• Ensure adherence to disaster recovery best practices and guidelines for Cloud Data Solutions; primarily AWS.
• Install, configure, and update 11g, 12c Oracle databases on Linux/Unix servers.
• Monitor databases, backups, perform recovery etc.
• Analyze and maintain performance requirements, help with SQL Tuning.
• Set up and manage Oracle Application Express configurations. (ORDS, Apex Listener)
• Set-up and maintain data replication
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
• Monitors and maintains Production, Development and QA databases for issues of storage, performance and operability in Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL RDBMS.
• Provides technical support to users, answering & resolving their requests for data access
• Supports department and user requests for database refreshes and updates
• Troubleshoots problems related to shell scripts or database objects
• Apply software patches to fix bugs or maintain supported levels
• Participates in department projects to provide a database perspective and to perform data tasks
• Participate in yearly remote disaster recovery testing.
• Provide off hour support to ensure 24/7 uptime requirements
