Job Description
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for creating an HR strategy that builds the capabilities and capacity of our organisation to deliver on its strategic goals. This will involve identifying and driving strategic and tactical HR initiatives, as well as supporting other programmes that impact the organisation and its people.
You will manage a team including an L&D Manager, HR Coordinator, Travel Coordinator and HR Officer. Your role will also involve developing a culture that supports our growth strategy and ensures that we continue to attract, retain and develop top talent.
Responsibilities:
• Work with our leadership to create an HR strategy that aligns with our organisational goals
• Develop a performance management strategy and approach that drives results
• Develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
• Support the L&D Manager to create a leadership development and learning development strategy
Requirements:
• Proven experience in strategic HR and people management
• Experience of working in the global South with a diverse workforce
• Ability to work across a multi-ethnicity team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a complex workload and deliver under pressure
Details:
• Location: London or Africa (preferably East Africa)
• Duration: 3 months with potential for extension
• Day rate: Up to £375Ltd / £275 PAYE
