Job Summary:
The Interior Designer Trainer with Fashion Design Knowledge is responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that combine principles of interior design and fashion design. This role involves creating curriculum, teaching courses, and mentoring students to help them develop their skills in both interior and fashion design, fostering a holistic understanding of design aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in both fields and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Design and develop comprehensive training programs that integrate interior design and fashion design principles.
Create course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and exams, that cover key concepts and practical applications.
Instruction and Training:
Deliver engaging and informative lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on interior and fashion design topics.
Teach students about design elements such as color theory, space planning, textiles, and trends in both interior and fashion design.
Demonstrate techniques and best practices through hands-on projects and real-world examples.
Mentoring and Support:
Provide one-on-one mentoring and feedback to students, helping them to develop their skills and portfolios.
Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
Support students in their career development by offering guidance on internships, job placements, and professional growth.
Industry Collaboration:
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in interior and fashion design industries.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals and organizations to provide students with networking opportunities and real-world insights.
Organize guest lectures, field trips, and workshops with industry experts.
Resource Management:
Manage classroom resources, including materials, tools, and technology, to ensure an effective learning environment.
Develop and maintain a resource library of books, articles, and digital content related to interior and fashion design.
Quality Assurance:
Continuously evaluate and improve the training programs based on feedback from students and industry developments.
Ensure that all educational content meets high standards of quality and relevance.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
Professional experience in both interior design and fashion design.
Proven experience in teaching or training, preferably in a higher education setting.
Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in interior and fashion design projects.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.
