• Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer located in Amritsar. The Interior Designer will be responsible for space planning, architectural elements, construction drawings and specifications of finishes, custom millwork, installation logistics, and client communication. They will be working closely with the clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and tradespeople to ensure that the project stays on budget and is delivered on time while maintaining the design objectives.
• Responsibilities
- General learning ability to create and produce esthetic and functional designs for interior spaces; may direct site work crews and subcontractors
- Spatial perception and form perception to develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangements of walls, dividers, displays, lighting, and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software
- Should have technical information to develop plans, elevations, cross sections, and detailed drawings, and advise on the selection of colors, finishes and materials, floor and wall coverings, interior and exterior lighting, furniture, and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards
- Methodical interest in precision working with equipment to prepare plans and specifications for final interior designs by current practices.
- Social interest in consulting with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements, and purpose of space.
• Qualification & Employment requirements
- Proven working experience of 1-3 years in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions)
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Interior design or related.
- Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other design programs
- Excellent portfolio of previous works
- Creative talent, imagination, and eye for design
- Communication and presentation skills
