Job Description
Prepare period-end accrual and other journal entries to accurately record transactions.
Prepare various account reconciliations and follow up as necessary to resolve any reconciling items.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and other financial reports.
Analyze financial results, including variance analysis.
Prepare ad-hoc accounting reports.
Assist with interim, annual, and other financial audits.
Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure proper coding of expenses and journal entries.
Collaborate with all stakeholders to drive efficiencies, save costs, and challenge the status quo to ensure targets are delivered.
Required
Post-secondary degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
Previous accounting-related work experience.
Ability to think critically, identify issues, and apply accounting principles.
Detail-oriented and able to convey information clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills; able to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines.

This is a one year contract
Until training is complete and the probation period over (three months) you will be in the office full time, and then the role will move to hybrid (three days a week in office)
Location: Richmond, BC
Annual salary between $75,000 - $80,000
