Job Type: Intermediate Classroom Teacher for Neqweyqwelsten School
Neqweyqwelsten school is dedicated to fostering independent students by setting high expectations for continuous mastery of learning by providing quality instruction in a positive, safe environment and home support that is healthy, consistent and celebrates success.
The purpose of this position is to plan for, deliver and monitor individualized educational services for Neqweyqwelsten students that adhere to the Philosophy, Goals and Mission Statement of Neqweyqwelsten School.
The successful candidate will be collaborative, energetic, innovative, have strong communication skills and work as a part of a larger school-based team
Experience/knowledge of project based learning, outdoor education, and being proficient with technology would be an asset.
Start date: August 18
Term: 1 year (with opportunity to renew based on performance)
Qualifications candidates should possess:
Current and good standing with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
significant related work experience
knowledge of First Nations history and culture
Salary: commensurate with experience and credentials.
