This Position is a contractor based role out of our Calgary Office.

Summary of Position:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven professional to join our growing team of professionals. Working within the Drafting Design group and in collaboration with the Engineers and Project Managers, you will provide drafting services for the projects and for various other clients using primarily CAD applications.
You will use AutoCAD Plant 3D and related software and data for creating and checking design drawings. Your time will be split between the use of CAD tools and drafting checks of drawings.
Accountabilities:
Produce, check, and revise piping models and engineered drawings for various pipeline & facility designs [P&IDs, GA’s, Isometrics, Plot Plans, Plan/Profiles, ect.].
Review and implement multiple client drafting standards and specifications.
Review and incorporate relevant piping materials and codes to ensure compliance (CSA Z662, Z245, ASME B31.3/4/8, API, ect.)
Conduct drafting checks of drawings at various stages of completion to ensure quality compliance.
Assist in the development of company drafting standards and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Process Piping Drafting Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or similar related 3D CAD technologies.
Experience in the Canadian Oil & Gas sector, drafting skills related to piping models, P&IDs, GA’s, Plan/Profile Drawings, Detailed Engineering Drawings, Isometric Drawings.
Knowledge of applicable pipeline codes and material specifications.
Strong analytical, communication and organization skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to work collaboratively within project teams to produce quality deliverables in an efficient manner.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, problem solve and complete tasks in a timely manner and under tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with the use of mapping software (i.e. Google Earth, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Map 3D, etc.) would be an asset
Knowledge of Coordinate Systems and Projections.
AutoCAD Recap Point Cloud, and Navisworks Experience.
