Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Join a forward-thinking Digital Services team where your expertise in software testing will directly contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that support students, staff, and the wider UC community. We’re looking for an Intermediate Test Analyst to help shape modern testing practices, champion automation, and ensure our software products meet the highest standards of reliability and usability.
You will:
Develop, maintain, and enhance a combination of manual and automated modern software testing suite
Plan and execute testing at a project level using a combined manual and automated testing approach
Support the end-to-end delivery of requirements, working closely with Analysts, Developers, and Architects
Drive a Test-Driven Development and automation-first approach across Digital Services
Review requirements, write and execute test cases, analyse risks, and ensure testing aligns with programme standards
Reproduce, triage, and validate issues in collaboration with support and development teams.
Maintain clear, accurate, and version-controlled test documentation
Provide meaningful testing metrics and progress reporting to project and technical stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, tools, and processes.
This role is based on-campus therefore cannot be done remotely.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have at least 4 years’ experience as a Test Analyst with hands-on functional, automated, and manual testing experience and a relevant degree (Level 7 or higher) and ISTQB Certification would be advantageous.
You will also have:
Experience across diverse architectures and testing types (API, UI, performance, security, etc.)
Strong writing skills, including the ability to produce high-quality test scripts, acceptance criteria, and reports
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving capability
