Role Overview:The International Manufacturing Head – Emerging Countries will manage the manufacturing processes across company’s seven plants located in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Dubai, Kenya, and Egypt. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance service quality, cost control, and process improvements, thereby boosting business performance. The incumbent will establish best practices for staff to achieve overall business objectives and will work closely with product line management, engineering, service, and other departments to integrate these best practices into the manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Site Delivery:Output Achievement :Deliver outputs for international/SEZ units by addressing major structural constraints with Unit Heads to ensure timely resolution.Quality Assurance :Ensure robust quality assurance processes and timely resolution of process and product quality deviations by Unit Heads.Cost Control :Minimize manufacturing costs and maximize capacity utilization through optimal use of manpower, materials, and machinery in collaboration with Unit Heads.Inventory Management :Monitor variations in raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods inventories across units. Support Unit Heads in minimizing these variations and maximizing product yields.Continuous Improvement :Lead continuous improvement projects in collaboration with Unit Heads to enhance productivity and optimize the use of manpower, machinery, and materials.Budget Management :Finalize annual budgets with Unit Heads and monitor monthly expenses against the budget.Statutory Compliance:Regulatory Adherence :Ensure all units comply with applicable statutory acts and rules.Licenses and Permissions :Maintain an updated database of all factory-related licenses and permissions, and ensure timely actions are taken to fulfill requirements.Plant Expansion :Facilitate plant expansion activities undertaken by Unit Heads.Safety and Environment:Safety Risk Management :Implement safety risk gap assessments and address identified gaps with Unit Heads.Safety Audits :Conduct regular external and internal safety audits and ensure timely closure of audit points by units.Incident Reporting :Ensure timely reporting and communication of accidents/incidents to internal and external stakeholders by Unit Heads.Corrective Actions :Analyze incidents/accidents and implement corrective actions effectively.Safety Performance Monitoring :Maintain a Management Information System (MIS) for safety performance, including monitoring effluent and hazardous waste generation and disposal.People Management:Recruitment and Development :Ensure timely recruitment and development of plant staff and managers at all levels.Employee Interaction :Regularly interact with employees, understand and address their concerns, and drive resolutions.Employee Engagement :Promote employee engagement initiatives such as HAH, Open House, and Recognition Programs.Initiatives and Projects:IRM/DRM Process :Ensure robust implementation of IRM/DRM processes and execution of key initiatives, systems, and modules.Cost Improvement and Capacity Projects :Oversee cost improvement and capacity-related projects for international/SEZ units.Brownfield Projects :Ensure timely completion and realization of benefits from Brownfield projects as committed in Capital Expenditure Requests (CER).Procurement Processes :Establish effective procurement processes and develop local vendors in coordination with the Procurement Team.New Product Introduction :Support the implementation of systems, processes, and SOPs required for introducing new products in existing facilities
