Tax Operations is seeking a new member to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the global Tax Operations function (Documentation, Transaction Tax, International Tax, Reclaims, Withholding and Reporting) including the expansion of TD's Global Equity Derivatives initiative. Your role will be responsible for analyzing new rules, process changes and supporting tax regulatory compliance for the firm.
Key Responsibilities Include
Manage the firm’s compliance with global tax and regulatory obligations
Provide tax technical rulings and guidelines to manage tax obligations for global customers and the firm business activities
Validate global tax forms and setup client classifications across multiple databases
Lead Common Reporting Standards (CRS), DAC6, DAC7 documentation and reporting
Manage corporate action taxability, processing, and determination of fair market value to support tax withholding and reporting
Analyze and provide tax feedback on new activity reviews to support implementation of new products, services, and geographical activity
Lead business analysis on global regulatory changes, new rules, and process improvements
Process large amounts of data to transmit to third party vendors and clients
Support transaction tax, UK/Irish/Hong Kong PTM Levy and Stamp processing, reporting and client documentation
Oversee tax relief at source, reclaims and tax voucher processing for clients and the firm
Respond to a high volume of internal and external client and third-party inquiries
Manage exception processing as needed and perform reconciliations to support controls and tax compliance
Consolidate a high volume of data from multiple sources and load into Tax databases
Manage relationships with global vendors, tax advisors and third-party service providers
Manage KPI’s across global tax functions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years work experience
Masters in Tax or Business Administration preferred
Experience with Tax, Asset Servicing, Business Analysis and Project Management
Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve problems/issues
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills
Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.
Flexibility and ability to learn quickly
Ability to roll up your sleeves and be hands on
Ability to work across time zones and in a multicultural setting.
