Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and audits.
Implement inventory control best practices to minimize shrinkage and ensure timely stock replenishment.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
Oversee the ordering and receiving of materials to maintain optimal stock levels.
Warehouse Organization:
Efficiently organize and maintain the factory's warehouse space.
Implement a systematic storage system to facilitate easy access and reduce handling times.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Staff Supervision:
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse personnel, including forklift operators and pickers/packers.
Schedule shifts and assign tasks to optimize labor resources.
Provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations for warehouse staff.
Inventory Tracking and Reporting:
Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements, reorder points, and lead times.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and materials usage.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in inventory processes.
Quality Control:
Implement quality control checks to ensure incoming materials meet specifications.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve any material quality issues promptly.
Cost Efficiency:
Explore cost-saving measures in inventory handling, storage, and transportation.
Work with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing for materials.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines within the warehouse.
Monitor and enforce security measures to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an inventory manager, warehouse manager, or similar role within manufacturing.
Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
